GVF Launches #GenSpace Working Group to Showcase Satellite Connectivity Innovations

13 January 2022, London & Washington DC – GVF, the only global trade association of the satellite industry representing the entire value chain, today announced the launch of #GenSpace, a new GVF working group initiative with the mission to increase awareness of technology, service and operational innovations across the entire satellite ecosystem. Under the hashtag “#GenSpaceGVF” on GVF’s Twitter and LinkedIn accounts, GVF member companies will share facts and stories showcasing the power of satellite innovations that help meet the ever-increasing global demand for connectivity.
“The pace of innovation across the entire satellite ecosystem is unprecedented,” said David Meltzer, GVF’s Secretary General. “Our member companies are creating efficient, affordable space-based solutions that deliver ubiquitous connectivity, driving prosperity for all.”
“GVF member companies are trailblazing to connect the world, and satellites are essential nodes in the ‘network of networks,’ stated Lynette Simmons, Chair of the #GenSpace working group and Director of Marketing and Communications at Telesat. “By expanding global awareness of these innovations, the satellite industry can help to rapidly eliminate the digital divide and ensure everybody has equal access to next-generation cloud, IoT and 5G offerings – anywhere in the world.”
