Oilfield Connectivity – The Next Generation Digital Oilfield

British Petroleum-led discussion of digital oilfield modernization started the programme with following sessions covering satcoms technologies and services supporting Industrial IoT, advanced data analytics and big data management techniques, Cloud-based applications, with expansion of in-orbital capability, development of digital gateways, matching different service solutions to different oil & gas customer needs.
The first panel was Communications Technology Solutions and Building the Digital Oilfield where we found out that the industrial IoT market is expected to be US$300 billion by 2020 and huge financial savings can be made if companies based their decisions on understanding the variety of satcom solutions.
